Introducing Duolingo Into Your Classroom

Room #: BSES 128

Chris Shultz

Duolingo is a free language learning app that can be accessed on the iPad or on a chromebook. Students can access the program using their Google credentials and teachers can complete just a few steps to become a Duolingo certified educator (which we will do as a part of the course). Duolingo is excellent for high school students as they can test out if they are in advanced language classes or for younger learners who can benefit from language learning at a young age. Looking into a language also offers cultural connections and opportunities to learn about different places and people. I'd like to explore what other extensions students could engage in off of their work in Duolingo.
